Vaatgajankush Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Gandhak 1 Tola and Parad Bhasma 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Loh Bhasma 1 Tola, Swarn-Makshik Bhasma 1 Tola, Shudh Hartaal 1 Tola, Haritaki 1 Tola, Karkarshrungi 1 Tola, Shudh Vatsanabh 1 Tola, Trikatu Churn 3 Tola, Agnimanth Mul-Twak (Mul-Twak == Root-Bark) 1 Tola and Shudh Tankan 1 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is processed in Mundi Swaras and Nirgundi Swaras till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Vaatgajankush Ras

NOTE

  • Ayurvedsarsangrah has mentioned the use of Rassindoor in place of Parad Bhasma for preparation of Vaatgajankush Ras.

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
