ABOUT

Ayurveda texts describe about two varities of Agnimanth; BruhadAgnimanth and KshudraAgnimanth . Bruhad-Agnimanth is co-related to the genus Premna botanically while Kshudra-Agnimanth is co-related to the genus Clerodendrum. The probable species of both these genus which can be accepted as the source of both varities of Agnimanth are enumerated.

NOTE

The taxon which is highly accepted is displayed as SPECIES 1 and the rest follow chronologically.
