Pukhraaj-mani Purification(Method 1)

PROCESS

Pukhraaj-mani pieces are transferred in a muslin cloth and tied to form a poultice. This poultice is cooked in Kaanji (see glossary) with help of a Dolayantra (see glossary) for 1 Prahar (see glossary). After the process is completed, Pukhraaj-mani pieces are further cooked in Kwaath (see glossary) prepared from Kulathi with the help of a Dolayanta for 1Prahar. After the process is completed , the inner contents of the poultice are washed with warm water to obtain Shudh (purified) Pukhraaj-mani.

  • The term Pukhraaj-mani pieces implies to seperate and entire Pukhraaj-mani or gemstones and not to crushed or fine fragments of an individual Pukhraaj-mani.

  • 1 Prahar approx. 3 hours
