PROCESS

Sinduvar Swaras(see glossary), Sinduvaar Mul (Mul == root) churna (see glossary) and Haridra churna are mixed together to form a thick paste. Naag pieces are heated till the melt. On melting, Naag is poured over the prepared thick paste and allowed to cool. The process of heating and transferring Naag is repeated 3 more times after which Shudh (purified) Naag is obtained.

  • It is a general rule followed by healers to use fresh mediums for dipping/ soaking the element to be purified each time the process is repeated even if not mentioned in the reference
