PROCESS

Twigs, branches etc from Bibhitak tree are collected and set to fire. Mandoor pieces are cooked over this flame. As the Mandoor pieces turn red-hot; Go-Mutra (cow's fresh urine) is sprinkled over the Mandoor pieces. The process of heating Mandoor and sprinkling Go-Mutra is repeated 7 times at the end of which Shudh (purified) Mandoor is obtained.

  • Rasratnasamucchay informs that Mandoor purified by above method can be directly used as medicine and need not be further processed to form Mandoor-Bhasma.
