An erect or prostrate herb, often rooting at the nodes. Stem and branches strigose with white hairs. Leaves sessile, very variable in size, oblong-lanceolate, acute, strigose with appressed hairs on both the surfaces, base tapering. Heads solitary or two together on unequal axillary peduncles. Involucral bracts about 8, ovate. Florets white. Achenes compressed and with a narrow wing. Pappus absent.
