The Ayurveda term Ras implies to Parad or formulations which contain Parad or any of its compounds/ores etc. Generally in preparation of Ras formulation Parad is combined with Gandhak(Sulphur) to form Kajjali(black sulphide of mercury) which is used as base material in these preparations.
