A Gunja is a traditional Indian unit of mass. As is known historically seeds of certain plants which were supposed to have uniform weights were used as measuring units. Gunja unit follows the same concept and is implied as one seed of the classical Ayurveda plant Gunja(Abrus precatorius). Gunja weight is not standardised as per International Metric System. As per information found 4Gunja unit is equivalent to 1 Masha units (Masha==traditional indian unit of mass). The Masha weight is standardised as 0.97grams and hence Gunja weight could be approximated as 125milligrams.
