Trivikram Ras Ashmari

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 20 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 20 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Tamra Bhasma 20 Tola is cooked with Aja-Dugdh(Fresh Goat's Milk) 20 Tola till the milk evaporates. Tamra Bhasma is then added to Kajjali to form a fine blend. The Kajjali mixture is processed with Nirgundi Patra (Patra == Leaf) Swaras till a uniform blend is achieved. The Kajjali-mixture is then rolled into a cake and transferred to a flat-surfaced earthen vessel. Another earthen vessel is placed over the former vessel and both the vessels are sealed with clay or mud. The sealed vessel is then cooked in a Valukayantra (see glossary) for 1Prahar by giving Tivra-Agni(High intensity flames, see glossary).On cooling Trivikram Ras Ashmari is collected and stored.
