Kushtkalanal Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Shudh Tankan 1 Tola, Tamra Bhasma 1 Tola, Loh Bhasma 1 Tola and Pippali Churn 1 Tola are mixed together and added to Kajjali. The Kajjali mixture is given 1 Bhavana (treatment) each with the following Bhavana-Dravya(Items used for treating the formulation); Kwaath prepared from Nimb Panchang (Panchang == Five parts of a plant; Leaf, Root, Bark, Seed, Flower), Triphala Kwaath and finally Amlavetas Patra (Patra == Leaf) Swaras till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Kushtkalanal Ras. Kushtkalanal Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 2Gunj (see glossary).

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm

  • 1Gunj approx 125mg
