Anandbhairav Ras (Type 1) - Ingredient Details

NOTE

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatises. (see glossary)

  • Rasrajsundar's description of Anandbhairav Ras lists taking Pippali Phal as 2 Tola. The original reference has mention Vyosh (Trikatu, combination of Shunthi, Marich Phal (Phal == Fruit) and Pippali Phal) and Maagdhi (synonym for Pippali) distinctly. Hence it makes sense to use Pippali twice the quantity. However many Vaidyas prefer using 1 Tola of Pippali

  • Anandbhairav Ras is prepared in different ways with different ingredients for a variety of disorders. It is generally used to treat Jwar (Pyrexia) , Atisaar (Disorders associated with Diarrhea) and Kaas (Respiratory infections associated with coughing). Rasrajsundar has described the present formulation to predominantly treat Kaas (Respiratory infections associated with coughing)

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm

  • 1Gunj approx 125mg
