PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Parad 4 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 4 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Shudh Hartaal 4 Tola, Kharpar Bhasma 2 Tola, Vang Bhasma 4 Tola, Tamra Bhasma 4 Tola, Abrakh Bhasma 4 Tola, Kant-Loh Bhasma 4 Tola and Kansya Bhasma 4 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is given 1 Bhavana (treatments) each of the following Bhavana-Dravya(Items used for treating the formulation) for 3 days each; Bhringraaj Swaras and Kwaath prepared from Kulathi Beej(Beej == Seed) ; till a uniform blend is achieved. Everyday fresh Swaras and Kwaath is prepared and used. On drying, Ela 1 Tola, Jaatiphal 1 Tola, Jaatipatra (Leaves of Jaatiphal are known as Jaatipatra) 1 Tola, Lavang 1 Tola, Yavani 1 Tola, Jeerak 1 Tola, Trikatu 3 Tola, Triphala 3 Tola, Tagar 1 Tola, Twak 1 Tola and Vanshlochan (Vanshlochan is a powdery extract procured from Vansh plant) 1 Tola is added and the compound is thoroughly grinded to form a fine blend. The mixture is again given 1Bhavana each with Bhringraaj Swaras and Kwaath prepared from Kulathi till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is known as Laxminarayan Ras.

- Laxmivilas Ras described by Rasendrasarsangrah is often mistaken with Laxmivilas Ras mentioned by Yog-Ratnakar. Although both formulations are named similarly as Laxmivilas Ras they are entirely different formulations with respect to contents and medicinal properties. Hence to avoid confusion Laxmivilas Ras described by Yog-Ratnakar is known as Mahalaxmivilas Ras..
- Abrakh Bhasma Shat(100)-puti must be used in preparation of Laxmivilas Ras.
- Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
- 1 Tola approx. 11gm
