PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Naag, is cooked in an iron vesel on a low flame till it melts. Sora and Amalaki bud powder in 1/2 the quantity of Naag is constantly added to the Naag mixture and stirred with Nimb branch or Ark root. The process is repeated till the mixture thoroughly blends and gives a powdery appearance.. The vessel is then covered with a lid and exposed to high flame for certain period. On cooling the mixture is filtered through a muslin cloth and the mixture is blended with Vasa Kwaath (decoction) to form a cake. The cake on drying is given 21 Laghuput (refer glossary) to obtain light red-coloured Naag bhasma
