PREPARATION
Equal proportions of Saindhav Lavan, Saurvichal Lavan, Beed Lavan, Samudra Lavan and Sambar Lavan are pounded to form a coarse powder till a fine blend is achieved. The powder is filtered through a muslin cloth and stored. The resultant fine powder is known as Panch-Lavan.

- Panch Lavan itself is not an individual entity but a name attributed to the combination of Five (Panch == Five) different varieties of Salt (Lavan == Salt).
