ABOUT
The classical Ayurveda plant Shatavari is co-related to the genus Asparagus botanically. A scan of Ayurveda literature describes two varieties of Shatavari; Shatavari and one bearing big roots known as Mahashatavari flowers. Both these varieties have been explicitly described by Bhavprakash and Sushrut.The plant taxon popularly accepted or highly matching both the described varities have been enumerated.
