ABOUT
The classical Ayurveda plant Suran is co-related to the genus Amorphophallus botanically. Ayurveda literature mentions about two varieties of Suran; Gramya-Suran (Cultivated) andVanya-Suran(Wild). The probable species of this genus which can be accepted as the source of both the varieties are enumerated.
