Someshwar Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1/2 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1/2 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Shaal Twak (Twak == Bark) 2 Tola, Arjun Twak 2 Tola, Kadamb Twak 2 Tola, Agaru 2 Tola, Rakt-Chandan 2 Tola, Agnimanth Mul-Twak (Mul-Twak == Root-Bark) 2 Tola, Haridra 2 Tola, Daruharidra 2 Tola, Amalaki 2 Tola,Dadim 2 Tola, Gokshur 2 Tola, Jambu 2 Tola, Usheer 2 Tola, Dhaanyak 1/2 Tola, Musta (Nagar-Mustak variety) 1/2 Tola, Ela 1/2 Tola, Tamalpatra (Leaves of Twak are known as Tamalpatra) 1/2 Tola, Padmakashta 1/2 Tola, Loh Bhasma 1/2 Tola, Rasanjan 1/2 Tola, Patha 1/2 Tola, Vidang 1/2 Tola, Shudh Tankan 1/2 Tola and Jeerak 1/2 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is weighed and Shudh Guggul along with Go-Ghrut (Go-Ghrut == Cow's ghee/butter) in 1/16th the weight of entire mixture is added and grinded to form a uniform blend.
