Piyushvalli Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Abrakh Bhasma 1 Tola, Raupya Bhasma 1 Tola, Loh Bhasma 1 Tola, Shudh Tankan 1 Tola, Rasanjan 1 Tola, Swarn-Makshik Bhasma 1 Tola, Jaatipatra (Leaves of Jaatiphal are known as Jaatipatra) 1 Tola, Yavani 1 Tola, Lavang 1 Tola, Shwet-Chandan 1 Tola, Musta (Nagar-Mustak variety) 1 Tola, Patha 1 Tola, Jeerak 1 Tola, Dhaanyak 1 Tola, Lajjalu 1 Tola, Ativisha 1 Tola, Lodhra 1 Tola, Kutaj 1 Tola, Indrajav (Kutaj seeds are called Indrajav) 1 Tola, Twak 1 Tola, Jaatiphal 1 Tola, Bilva Phal (Phal == Fruit) 1 Tola, Nimba Patra (Patra == Leaves) 1 Tola, Shudh Dhattur Beej (Beej == Seeds) 1 Tola, Dadim Phal-Twak (Phal-Twak == Rind) 1 Tola, Haritaki 1 Tola, Dhayati Pushp (Pushp == Flowers) 1 Tola and Kutki 1 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is processed in Bhringraaj Swaras for 7 days till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Piyushvalli Ras.

NOTE

  • Abrakh Bhasma Shat(100)-puti must be used in preparation of Piyushvalli Ras.

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm
