Jalodaraari Ras (Method 1)
PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 2 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali (refer glossary). Shudh Mansheel 2 Tola, Shudh Jaypal 2 Tola, Haritaki Phal 2 Tola, Amalaki Phal 2 Tola, Bibhitak 2 Tola, Shunthi 2 Tola, Pippali Phal 2 Tola, Marich Phal(Phal == Fruit) 2 Tola and Chitrak-Mul(Mul == root) Churn 2 Tola are pounded to form fine powder which is blended with the Kajjali. The mixture is then processed in Danti-Mul Swaras, Snuhi Ksheer (milky latex) and Bhringraaj Swaras respectively. The Kajjali mixture is given 7 Bhavana (treatments) with each of the 3 plants after which it is dried. This formulation is called Jalodaraari Ras. On drying Jalodaraari Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 1Gunj (see glossary).

NOTE
- Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
- Jalodaraari Ras and Udaraari Ras are distinct formulations. However they are many a times confused as synonyms. Jalodaraari Ras is a strong medicine as compared to Udaraari Ras.
