PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Ativisha 1 Tola, Haritaki Phal 1 Tola, Abrakh Bhasma 1 Tola, Yav-Kshaar 1 Tola, Sajji-Kshaar 1 Tola, Bangad-Kshaar 1 Tola, Mochras (The gum obtained from the plant Shalmali is called Mochras) 1 Tola, Vacha 1 Tola and Vijaya 1 Tola are added to the Kajjali. The Kajjali mixture is then processed in Jambeer Swaras and thoroughly blended. This formulation is called Grahanikapaat Ras. On drying Grahanikapaat Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 1/2Gunj(see glossary).

NOTE

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • Abrakh Bhasma Shat(100)-puti must be used in preparation of Grahanikapaat Ras.

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm

  • 1Gunj approx 125mg
