PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Parad 2 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 2 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Shudh Hartaal 2 Tola, Shudh Tankan 2 Tola, Tamra Bhasma 2 Tola, Yav-Kshaar 10 Tola, Musta (Nagar-Mustak variety) 1 Tola, Pippali Phal 1 Tola, Shunthi 1 Tola, Marich Phal(Phal == Fruit) 1 Tola, Gajpippali 1 Tola, Haritaki Phal 1 Tola, Vacha 1 Tola and Kusht 1 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali and thoroughly blended. The Kajjali mixture is then given 7Bhavana (treatment, processed) each with Swaras obtained from the following plants; Parpat, Nagarmusta, Aradrak, Apamarg and Patha. This formulation is called Gulmkaalanal Ras. On drying Gulmkaalanal Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 1Gunj(refer glossary).
