Chandrashekhar Ras (Method 1)

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 2 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Lanka Churn 2 Tola, Shudh Tankan 2 Tola and Sita 7 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is processed with Matsya-Pitt (Matsya-Pitt == Bile (Pitt) procured from Fish(Matsya)) for 3 days till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Chandrashekhar Ras

NOTE

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • Ayurvedsarsangrah mentions the use of Pitt(Bile) procured from Rohu variety of Fish to be used in preparation of Chandrashekhar Ras.
