Loh(Tikshna, Kant, Mund Loh) Bhasma (Method 2)

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Loh (any three varieties) 4 Tola coarse-powder is mixed with Sora 4 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 4 Tola and the mixture is blended with Kumari juice for an entire day and rolled into a cake. The cake is then covered with Erand patra (leaf) , sealed with clay and given Gajput (refer glossary) to obtain red-coloured Loh Bhasma

NOTE

  • To test if Loh Bhasma is prepared correctly small amount of the end-product must be sprinkled over a cut Amalki (Phyllanthus emblica, Avala,Gooseberry) fruit. If the fruit pulp turns black then the Loh Bhasm is not correctly formed and can create health-problems. Correctly formed Loh Bhasma has no effect on Amalki pulp.
