Shoolantak Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1/2 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1/2 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Trikatu Churn 3 Tola, Triphala Churn 3 Tola, Musta (Nagar-Mustak variety) 1 Tola, Trivrut 1 Tola, Chitrak-Mul-Twak (Mul-Twak == Root-Bark) 1 Tola, Loh Bhasma 2 Tola, Abrakh Bhasma 2 Tola and Vidang 2 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is processed in Triphala Kwaath till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Shoolantak Ras

NOTE

  • Abrakh Bhasma Shat(100)-puti must be used in preparation of Shoolantak Ras.

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
