Laxmivilas (Mahalaxmivilas) Ras (Method 1)

PREPARATION

Swarn Bhasma 1 Tola, Raupya Bhasma 1 Tola, Abrakh Bhasma 1 Tola, Tamra Bhasma 1 Tola, Vang Bhasma 1 Tola, Kant-Loh Bhasma 1 Tola, Tikshna-Loh Bhasma 1 Tola, Mund-Loh Bhasma 1 Tola, Naag Bhasma 1 Tola, Mauktik Bhasma 1 Tola and Parad Bhasma 10 Tola are mixed together to form a fine blend. The mixture is then constantly processed with Madhu (Madhu == Honey) till a uniform blend is achieved and rolled into cake. The cake is allowed to dry for a period of 3-5days(The amount of days are not important as the mixture is allowed to dry completely which may take more days). The dried cake is then transferred to a flat-surfaced earthen vessel. Another earthen vessel is placed over the former vessel and both the vessels are sealed with clay or mud. The sealed vessel is then given a Laghuput(see glossary). On cooling the inner contents are further processed with Kwaath prepared from Chitrak for 8Prahar. This formulation is called Laxmivilas Ras.
