PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Swarn Bhasma 1 Tola, Raupya Bhasma 1 Tola, Swarn-Makshik Bhasma 1 Tola, Shudh Hartaal 1 Tola, Vang Bhasma 1 Tola and Abrakh Bhasma 1 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is given 7 Bhavana (treatments) each of the following Bhavana-Dravya(Items used for treating the formulation); Brahmi Swaras, Vasa Patra (Patra == Leaf) Swaras, Bhringraaj Swaras, Kwaath prepared from Parpat and Kwaath prepared from Dashmool Plants; till a uniform blend is achieved. NOTE
- Garbhchintamani Ras formulation is listed in the Vidyotani commentary on the treatise Bhaisajyaratnavalli.
- Garbhchintamani Ras is also known as Bruhat Garbhchintamani Ras.
- Abrakh Bhasma Shat(100)-puti must be used in preparation of Garbhchintamani Ras.
- Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
- The plant Brahmi is confused for different species. Hence both the two prominent species Centella asiatica Linn. and Bacopa monnieri Linn. are used by certain Vaidyas while preparing Smrutisagar Ras
