PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 4 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 4 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Loh Bhasma 4 Tola, Tamra Bhasma 4 Tola, Shudh Guggul 16 Tola, Triphala Churn 8 Tola, Kutki 1 Tola, Yashtimadhu 1 Tola, Gokshur 1 Tola, Vidang 1 Tola and Dashmool plants 10 Tola are mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. The mixture is processed in Kwaath prepared from Dashmool plants till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Shirshooladivajra Ras.

NOTE

Dashmool implies to collective roots (Mool) of 10(Dash) plants. Each plant root taken in quantity of 1 Tola, hence collectively 10 Tola.

Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
