Agnisandeepan Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Pippali Phal 1 Tola, Pippalimool (Roots of Pippali are known as Pippalimool) 1 Tola, Chavya 1 Tola, Chitrak-mul (Mul == Root)1 Tola, Chitrak-Twak (Twak == Bark) 1 Tola, Shunthi 1 Tola, Marich Phal(Phal == Fruit) 1 Tola, Panch-Lavan 5 Tola (Saindhav Lavan, Samudra Lavan, Beed Lavan, Saurvichal Lavan, Lavan 1 Tola each), Yav-Kshaar 1 Tola, Sajji-Kshaar 1 Tola, Shudh Tankan 1 Tola, Jeerak 1 Tola, Krishna-Jeerak 1 Tola, Yavani 1 Tola, Vacha 1 Tola, Mishreya 1 Tola, Shudh Hingu 1 Tola, Jaatiphal 1 Tola, Kutki 1 Tola, Jaatipatra (Leaves of Jaatiphal are known as Jaatipatra) 1 Tola, Twak 1 Tola, Tamalpatra (Leaves of Twak are known as Tamalpatra) 1 Tola, Ela 1 Tola, Lavang 1 Tola, Haritaki Phal 1 Tola, Amlika Kshaar 1 Tola, Apamarg Kshaar 1 Tola, Shudh Vatsanabh 1 Tola, Loh Bhasma 1 Tola, Vang Bhasma 1 Tola, Abrakh Bhasma 1 Tola, Amlavetas 2 Tola and Shankh Bhasma 4 Tola are all pounded together and mixed with Kajjali to form a uniform blend. The mixture is then processed in following Bhavana-Dravya(Items used for treating the formulation), Swaras obtained from Panchkol plants, Chitrak Swaras and Apamarg Swaras. The mixture is given 3 Bhavana (treatment) each with the Bhavana-Dravya. On drying the mixture is given a final 21 Bhavana with Jambeer Swaras. This formulation is called Agnisandeepan Ras. On drying Agnisandeepan Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 2Gunj (see glossary).

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm

  • 1Gunj approx 125mg
