PROCESS

Vajra pieces are heated over burning coal till they turns red-hot. The red-hot pieces are then immediately soaked in Parad(mercury).The process of heating and dipping is carried out 100 times to obtain Shudh (purified) Vajra.

  • The term Vajra pieces implies to seperate and entire Vajra or gemstones and not to crushed or fine fragments of an individual Vajra.

  • It is a general rule followed by healers to use fresh mediums for dipping the element to be purified each time the process is repeated even if not mentioned in the reference
