Shrung Bhasma (Method 3)

PREPARATION

Shrung is cut into small pieces and heated in a vessel till they turn white. Care must be taken to constantly observe the heating process as incorrect exposure to heat result in shrung pieces turning black (which can be used but not preferable). Shrung pieces which become brittle on heating are pounded to a coarse-powder and blended with Kumaari juice and rolled into a cake. The cake on drying is given Gajput (refer glossary). Like this 7-8 Gajput.Shrung Bhasma so formed is again blended with Ark-Ksheer (milky latex), rolled into a cake, dried and given a final Gajput to obtain white coloured Shrung Bhasma.
