Krumikuthar Ras (Method1) - Ingredient Details

NOTE

  • Raschandanshu reference of Krumikuthar Ras preparation mentions to add Palash Beej Churn after the other ingredients have been processed with Bhringraj Swaras. However Aushadhigundharmshastra recommends adding Palash Beej Churn initially before the treatment with Bhringraaj Swaras. Secondly the quantity of Palash Beej Churn in the reference is not clearly stated and hence it is interpreted to be 1part.

  • Raschandanshu reference mentions the word "Kesaram" as an ingredient of Krumikuthar Ras. Aushadhigundharmshastra interprets its as the plant Nagkeshar. However the possibility of the term relating to the plant Kesar (Crocus sativus) needs to be explored.

  • The plant Brahmi is confused for different species. Hence both the two prominent species Centella asiatica Linn. and Bacopa monnieri Linn. are used by certain Vaidyas while preparing Unmadgajkesari Ras

  • 1Gunj approx. 125mg.
