Hartaal Bhasma (Method 3)

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Hartaal is blended with Kumaari juice and dried. This process is repeated 3 times after which Hartaal is subsequently given 3 treatments each with Kushmand juice and then curd respectively. After 9 treatments it is rolled into a cake and transferred to a hollow vessel (measuring 12 Angul) half filled with a combination of Lavan (Salt) and Kshaar (caustic ash prepared from herbs like Apamarg, Punarnava etc). Hartaal is placed over the Kshaar-salt mixture and the remaining empty portion of the vessel is again filled with the Salt-Kshaar mixture. The entire vessel is sealed and placed in an iron vessel which is exposed to high flames for 32Prahar to obtain white-coloured Hartaal Bhasma.
