PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Abrakh is processed in Kasmard leaf juice and the mixture rolled into a cake.On drying the mixture is transferred to an earthen vessel and given a Gajput (see glossary).The process is repeated 100 times. Hence the Abrakh bhasma so obtained is called "100 (Shatputi) puti Abrakh Bhasma". (Shatputi) puti Abrakh Bhasma".

NOTE

Shatputi Abrakh Bhasma is considered asa standard preparation of Abrakh. It is prepared by many pharmacies. However its medicinal properties are considered lesser to Sahastraputi(1000)puti Abrakh Bhasma which is preferred my many Ayurveda practitioners.
