Abrakh Bhasm 60 Puti

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Abrakh is processed in Mustak (Nagar-Mustak variety) juice and rolled into a cake. The cake is dried and then transferred to a earthen vessel. The earthen vessel is sealed and given a Gajput (refer glossary). The entire process is repeated 30 times. After that the procured Abrakh is weighed and mixed with equal quantity of Tankan. The mixture is processed in Tanduliya juice and dried. The dried mixture is given a Gajput. This process is repeated 30 times after which pure red-coloured Abrakh Bhasm is obtained.Combining the two Gajput batches of 30 each gives a total of 60 Gajput. Hence the Abrakh bhasma so obtained is called "60 puti Abrakh Bhasma".
