Grahanigajkesari Ras - Ingredient Details

NOTE

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • Certain Vaidyas interpret the above formulation of Grahanigajkesari Ras in a slightly different way. Instead of 1/4 the proportion of Shudh Ahifen with respect to Kajjali mixture taken as described above, they advise to put Shudh Ahifen in a proportion 4times to the Kajjali mixture. However scholars inform that such high quantities of Ahifen are not easily acceptable by human body and hence the 1/4th proportion must be accepted.

  • Before using Dhattur Patra Swaras for processing Grahanigajkesari Ras, the Swaras must be collected in a clean vessel and kept undisturbed for certain time. This helps to settle down all the impurities and fibers. The clear juice must then be carefully collected and used.,

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm

  • 1Gunj approx 125mg
