PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali (refer glossary). Shudh Hingul 1 Tola, Shudh Dhattur Beej (seeds) 2 Tola and Shudh Ahifen 2 Tola are finely powdered added to the Kajjali. The mixture is treated with Bhringraaj Swaras (juice) for 3 days. This formulation is called Agasti-Sootraaj Ras. Agasti Sootraaj Ras is then dried and rolled into tablets each measuring 1Gunj (see glossary).

NOTE
- Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
- Black variety of Bhringraaj is preferred to prepare Agasti Sootraaj Ras. The variety however is a disputed plant.
- Six other treatise including Yog Ratnakar have mentioned the preparation of Agasti Sootraaj Ras. The methods are identical.
