Sameerpannag Ras (Swarnyukt)

PREPARATION

Shudh(purified) Parad 4part and Shudh Swarn pieces 1 Tola are blended together in a flat surfaced stone vessel. Shudh Gandhak 4 Tola is added to the Parad-Swarn mixture and blended together to form Kajjali(see glossary). Shudh Mal 4 Tola, Shudh Hartaal 4 Tola and Shudh Mansheel 4 Tola is mixed with Kajjali and thoroughly blended in Kumari Swaras(juice). The Kajjali is then transferred to a Kaach-Kupi(glass flask, see glossary).Kaach-Kupi is layered 7 times with cloth plastered with wet-mud/clay and the Kaach-Kupi is cooked in Valuka-Yantra(see glossary) for 2 days.On cooling Swarn-Sameerpannag Ras which gets accumlated at the bottom of the Kaach-Kupi is collected.

NOTE

  • Mal (white variety, Shankh-Mal) must be used in the above preparation

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gms

  • 1 Prahar approx. 3 hours
