PREPARATION
Shudh(purified) Akeek is coarsely powdered and blended with Gulaab Ark or Kumari Swaras and rolled into a cake.The cake on drying is sealed in an earthen vessel and given a 3 Gajput (refer glossary) to obtain Akeek Bhasma. Akeek Bhasm so procured is blended with Go-Dugdh (cow's fresh milk) and rolled into a cake. The cake on drying is again sealed in an earthen vessel and given a Gajput which makes the Bhasma soft.
Vaidyas recomend to keep some empty spaces in the earthen vessel before giving a Gajput as Akeek Bhasma blended with milk tends to swell up during the process.
