PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali (refer glossary). Shudh Vatsanabh 1 Tola, Loh Bhasma 1 Tola, Abrakh Bhasma 1 Tola, Shunthi 1 Tola, Marich Phal(Phal == Fruit) 1 Tola and Pippali Phal 1 Tola are pounded to form fine powder which is blended with the Kajjali. The mixture is then processed in Triphala Kwaath and dried. This formulation is called Kamdhenu Ras. On drying Kamdhenu Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 1Gunj (see glossary).

NOTE

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • Abrakh Bhasma Shat(100)-puti must be used in preparation of Kamdhenu Ras.

  • Kamdhenu Ras is also described in the treatise, Bhaisajyaratnavalli. The formulation is completely contrasted with respect to ingredients of Kamdhenu Ras as described by Rasayansaar. (For details see Kamdhenu Ras (Method 2).

  • 1Gunj approx. 125mg
