Vaatari Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 2 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Triphala Churn 3 Tola and Chitrak 4 Tola mixed with the Kajjali to form a fine blend. Shudh Guggul 5 Tola is cooked with Erand Tail (Castor oil) until it dissolves. The Kajjali mixture is added to the Guggul and stirred till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Vataari Ras. Vataari Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 3Gunj (see glossary).

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm

  • 1Gunj approx. 125mg
