Naag-Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh(purified) Vatsanabh 1 Tola, Pippali 1 Tola, Lavang 1 Tola, Pippalimool (Roots of Pippali are known as Pippalimool) 1 Tola, Jaatiphal 1 Tola, Jaatipatra (Leaves of Jaatiphal are known as Jaatipatra) 1 Tola, Keshar 3 Masha, Shunthi 1 Tola, Akarkarabh 1 Tola, Marich Phal (Phal == Fruit) 1 Tola, Shudh Hingul 1 Tola, Shudh Tankan 1 Tola and Kasturi 1Gunj are pounded together and processed in Aradrak Swaras till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Naag Ras. On drying Naagras is rolled into tablets each measuring 1/4 -1Gunj (see glossary).
