Ashwakanchuki Ras (Method 2) - Ingredient Details

NOTE

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatises. (see glossary)

  • Ashwakanchuki preparation mentioned by Raschandanshu is similar to the method described by Rasyogsagar and Siddhyogsangrah except that Raschandanshu does not mention to treat Ashwakanchuki with Bhringraaj Swaras for 21 times. Vaidyas indicate that Ashwakanchuki prepared by this method is less potent than other methods described.

  • Ashwakanchuki Ras or Ghodachali is a very popular formulation with Ayurveda physicians. Hence over the years the formulation is modified innumerable times so as to put that every Vaidya tradition would have a modified version of the formulation with respect to ingredients, herbal juice Bhavana (treatments) and ingredient proportions.
