Trushnabrhansh Ras

PREPARATION

Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 2 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Karpoor 3 Tola, Shudh Shilajit 4 Tola, Usheer 5 Tola, Marich Phal (Phal == Fruit) 6 Tola and Sita 7 Tola are pounded to form a fine blend and added to the Kajjali. The Kajjali is processed in plain water or Swaras or Kwaath prepared from plants which are classified as Trushnahar(Trushnahar == One which alleviate thirst) or Trushnanigrahan (Trushnanigrahan == one which controls thirst) till a uniform blend is achieved. This formulation is called Trushnabrhansh Ras. Trushnabrhansh Ras on drying is rolled into tablets each measuring 1Gunj(see glossary).

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • 1 Tola approx. 11gm

  • 1Gunj approx 125mg
