PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali (refer glossary). Shudh Mansheel 1 Tola and Shudh Dhattur Beej (Beej == Seeds) Churn 3 Tola are pounded to form fine powder which is blended with the Kajjali. The mixture is then processed in Vacha Swaras, Agastya Swaras and Brahmi Swaras respectively. The Kajjali mixture is given 7Bhavana (treatments) with each of the 3 plants after which it is dried. This formulation is called Unmadgajkesari Ras. On drying Unmadgajkesari Ras is rolled into tablets each measuring 1Gunj (see glossary).

NOTE
- Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
- The plant Brahmi is confused for different species. Hence both the two prominent species Centella asiatica Linn. and Bacopa monnieri Linn. are used by certain Vaidyas while preparing Unmadgajkesari Ras
- The treatise Rasrajsundar has also described Unmadgajkesari Ras similarly. The only difference being in the quantity of Dhattur Beej Churn is mentioned as 1 Tola and the treatment with Agastya Swaras is not mentioned.
