Sameerpannag Ras (Method 2)

PREPARATION

Shudh(purified) Parad 1part, Shudh Gandhak 1part are blended together to form Kajjali(see glossary). Shudh Mal 1part and Shudh Hartaal 1part is mixed with Kajjali and thoroughly blended with Tulasi swaras (fresh leaf juice). The Kajjali is then placed in an earthen vessel between layers of tightly packed Abrakh pieces.The earthen vessel is plastered with wet-mud/clay and cooked in Valuka-Yantra(see glossary) for 4Prahar.On cooling black-coloured Sameerpannag Ras is collected.

NOTE

  • Mal (white variety, Shankh-Mal) must be used in the above preparation

  • Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)

  • Since Kaach-kupi is not used in preparation of Samerpannag by this method it cannot be classified as Kupipakv Rasayan

  • 1 Prahar approx. 3 hours
