The botanical identity of the classical Ayurveda plant Patha is highly disputed. The probable taxon which are discussed as the probable source are enumerated.NOTE
- The taxon which is highly accepted is displayed as SPECIES 1 and the rest follow chronologically.
- The taxon Cyclea peltata is denoted by many scholars as Raaj Paatha. This variety is however not mentioned in the Ayurvedic texts. The medicinal properties are considered by many healers and vaidyas to be similar to Paatha.
