PREPARATION
Shudh (purified) Parad 1 Tola and Shudh Gandhak 1 Tola are blended together to form Kajjali. Kshaar prepared from Amlika 4 Tola, Panch Lavan 4 Tola, Shankh Bhasma 4 Tola, Shudh (purified) Hingu 4 Tola,Trikatu Churn 4 Tola and Shudh Vatsanabh are pounded together and mixed with Kajjali to form a fine blend. The Kajjali mixture is processed with Jambeer Swaras till a uniform blend is achieved. On drying the mixture is rolled into tablets. The tablets are known as Shankh Vati (Vati == Tablets).

NOTE
- Shankh Vati is also known as Bruhat Shankh Vati or Mahashankh Vati.
- Kajjali prepared in the above formulation must adhere or comply with the Kajjali preparation description and standards as mentioned in various Ayurveda treatise.(see glossary)
