Gandhak Purification(Method 1)
Go-Ghrut (clarified butter from cow) is taken in an iron vessel and heated. On melting Gandhak pieces in equal proportion of the Go-Ghrut are added to the iron vessel and stirred. As soon as the Gandhak pieces melt, the entire mixture is added to a vessel containing Go-Dugdh (cow's fresh milk). Gandhak is then procured from the milk, washed with warm water and dried to obtain Shudh (purified) Gandhak.
