Shankh Purification(Method 1)
Shankh pieces are transferred to a hollow earthen vessel. The remaining empty portion of the vessel is filled with water. Jambeer Swaras is sprinkled over the water and the vessel is cooked on low intensity flames (Manda-agni, Skt.) for 1 hour. Shankh pieces are then removed from the vessel and cleaned with warm water to obtain Shudh (purified) Shankh.
